Funding: Tobacco Prevention and Control

The Chicago Department of Public Health is issuing a Request for Proposal to potential community-based organizations to create and sustain REALITY Illinois Chapters. A total of $30,000 is available with a plan to fund 6 agencies at $5,000 each for the support of community events in Chicago that provide tobacco control education, prevention and/or cessation to populations and communities at increased risk for tobacco-related disease and death. These populations include, but are not limited to: youth (ages 13-18), including LGBT, African American, Polish, Asian and Latino adolescents.

Only nonprofit community-based organizations within the City of Chicago with at least one year experience in providing outreach and community event services may apply for these funds. For more information, please feel free to contact Donna Scrutchins at 312-747-2138.
